We are a group of men who sing on a Tuesday
at the Lindley Methodist Church Centre in Huddersfield. The choir has been going on for 70
years. We encourage men to sing, and try and learn to sing as a choir with 4 parts :
Bass, Baritone, 2nd Tenor and 1st Tenor. The Choir sings, songs from the popular musicals
and operas, songs from the traditional male voice choir repertoire and some of the
traditional Welsh hymns.
We perform at concerts in and around Huddersfield and we also go further afield.
We have performed at the Royal Albert Hall with the Mass Choirs, we have been to France
and sung at a music festival, we have entered competitions in Cornwall, and in Huddersfield.
We have visited Belgium and sung at the Last Post at the Menin Gate Memorial in Ypres.
We are looking forward to going to Ireland next year.
The Choir meets at Lindley Methodist Church Centre, every Tuesday evening.
Rehearsals start at 7.30 pm and finish at 9.30 pm. Why not come, sit and listen to us and
join our singing. Email : firstname.lastname@example.org
Our Chairman is Roger Ellis, who was elected chairman in 2017 and took over from Steven Daniel. Roger Ellis has been with the choir for over 25 years
and has held the post of Chairman before and we are delighted to have him as our Chairman again.
We have a FACEBOOK page for the choir. If you have a facebook and you like us on our facebook, you can keep in touch with us and receive posts and messages through our facebook page.
